Where were you born ? Wooster Ohio, and it was a cold place.
Did you know both of your parents ? Yes, we all lived in the same house and they were married to each other (even when I was conceived).
Were you ever abused ? No. My parents were both loving and supportive and neither drank or took drugs or dealt them.
Any brothers or sisters ? Yes, one brother and we fought often. I used to tell him his heart was going to explode. The more frightened he got, the more his heart would pound in his chest. Thus... "See Richard, it IS going to explode!".
What is you religious background ? My father was a Polish Jew and a Catholic. My mother was Baptist. We went to the Methodist church. They asked us to leave when my mother became sick and our medical bills were so great that we could not pay our monthly dues. After that my mother read from the bible to me every night until I left home. Thus I believe that big organized religion simply separates us as humans and has been the root cause of most separation between people and the cause of wars throughout history.
Geeez Dave, do you even believe in God ? Yep, sure frickin' do, but I don't believe in hypocrites. I may not be on God's "Short list" but He's out there. Hey, if you want to help me get on his short list... pray for me.
OK Dave, you told us about your religious feelings, what about Politics ? We have had Politicians in the family many years ago and I am familiar with with the "Tell them what they want to hear and give them a little of what they want, and you will have them" mentality. Many people practice this who are not even politicians.
What jobs have you had ? Paper boy - Library Page - Home remodeling - Gas station attendant - Electronics store salesman - Women's shoe salesman - Baker - Franchise manager - Furniture delivery - Repo man - Soldier - Medical professional.
Have you ever been in the Military ? Yes. Nearly 14 years in the United States Army. I was considered to be a "Good Soldier" and "Mission Oriented". I received many awards, commendations and medals. I have been all over this country and half way around the world and back. I was fortunate enough to have troops of my own and took damn good care of them.
Do you have children ? Yes. I have three sons, they have good Christian names that are easy to spell and say. They are Christopher, Matthew, and Benjamin.
Have you been married ? Yes. The first one died when the boys were little and I have been "Mr. Mom" for years. The second one left us (I don't blame her) and am currently working on number three.
Any favorite things such as books, music, colors, movies etc.. ? Non-fiction and Scientific books mostly (I have a fertile imagination and don't need to learn about things that are not real). I like all kinds of music, mostly rock (old and new). My favorite color is blue. I don't go to the movies often, I spent most of my time working, taking care of the house, working in the yard, hanging out with my honey, working on the computer, and writing my horror novels. I also enjoy animals, people, and little children.
Any Hobbies Dave ? Yes, when not doing any of the thing I just mentioned; I enjoy photography, astronomy, working in my flower garden and the rose garden, hiking, and drinking beer.
Any personal Hero's ? My parents, the Big Guy in the sky, Command Seargent Major William P. Hatcher and the Miller brewing company.
